Starting July 1st, 2025, Hughes Federal Credit Union will no longer provide the service of redeeming bonds.

Members can convert physical E, EE, or I bonds through the Federal Government Treasury Department.

Converting a physical E, EE, or I bond(s) into an electronic bond:

  1. Access the TreasuryDirect website.
  2. For more bond-related information and the redemption process, visit www.treasurydirect.gov/savings-bonds/cashing-a-bond.
If you suspect you have been a victim of identity theft, visit IdentityTheft.gov to report and start on a recovery plan.

Checking PLUS account holders have access to their very own licensed attorney to assist in filing police reports, contacting financial institutions, creditors, credit bureaus and even utility companies on their behalf.

 

To enroll in eStatements, log in to online banking. From the dashboard, select Accounts in the menu bar, then select Statements and Documents from the drop-down menu. Click the Enroll button. Once enrolled, you will no longer receive paper statements in the mail.
