Hughes Federal Credit Union is seeking nominations to fill three openings on our Volunteer Board of Directors. Three incumbents will be on the ballot. Eligible candidates must be:
A Hughes Primary Member for at least six months at the time the application is submitted
In good standing both financially and personally
18 or older
Able to attend monthly meetings in Tucson, Arizona (Hughes Federal Credit Union does not reimburse for travel to required in-person meetings)
Able to fulfill assigned duties
In accordance with Hughes Federal Credit Union’s rules and regulations, any applicable federal or state laws, and in addition to sound business and governance practices, the Board of Directors has the power to make decisions and the duty to direct the business matters of the Credit Union.
The Board plays an active role in governing the credit union at a higher level while working with management to develop solutions that align with the credit union’s mission, values, and guiding principles. The Board oversees and conducts due diligence in relation to safety and soundness issues.
Board members volunteer to serve a three-year unpaid term and are one of the many things that make your Credit Union different from a bank.
Interested candidates can complete the application below and upload a one-page bio or resumé of qualifications for the board. Names will be forwarded to our Nominating Committee for screening and candidates will be contacted for an interview.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00pm, Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Voting will take place online during the month of March. Details to follow.
