Dear Members,
At Hughes Federal Credit Union, we prioritize providing you with the best possible banking experience – secure, seamless, and future-ready. That’s why I want to personally continue to share important information about our upcoming system upgrade, scheduled for August 30, 2025.
This upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to improve the way you bank with us. It will allow us to serve you more efficiently, enhance services, and introduce new tools that make managing your finances easier. No action is needed from you, but it’s important we communicate upcoming modifications to your account(s).
What You Need to Know
One of the most visible changes you’ll notice is an update to your account numbers. This is a key step in streamlining and modernizing our systems. While no immediate action is required from you, depending on the types of accounts and number of memberships you currently hold, you may need to make minor adjustments in how you bank with us during the week following the upgrade.
What’s Changing
- Your new account number will be a combination of your current member number and account number – so it should look familiar.
- Dashes will no longer appear, and you may see added zeros, “0”.
- If you have multiple member numbers, your lowest open member number will now serve as your primary member number for all your relationships.
- Your individual account numbers will still reflect part of the original member number under which the account was opened.
What’s Not Changing
- Your access will remain secure.
- Your existing funds, services, and transaction history will not be impacted.
- Our team is here to guide you every step of the way.
In short, while you may notice some updates in how your account numbers appear, the core of your membership with us remains the same — built on trust, service, and a commitment to your financial well-being.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll also be sharing reminders, or you may visit our website at HughesFCU.org/SystemUpgrade for helpful information as the upgrade date approaches.
Thank you for being a valued member of Hughes. We’re excited about what’s ahead – and grateful to have you with us on this journey.
Thank you,
Andrew Britton

Last month, I announced our system upgrade, which will take place from August 30 through September 1. We appreciate your participation in this exciting journey. As we prepare for the new system launch starting August 30, we want to share some important updates to improve your experience.
- Faster, smarter banking tools.
- Streamlined access to your accounts and services.
- Increased security and flexibility in how you manage your money.
- To ensure a smooth transition with the system conversion, a temporary change to quarterly dividend payments will be required.
For deposit products that typically pay dividends quarterly, dividends will be paid monthly during the 3rd quarter of 2025. This means dividends will post at the end of July, August, and September instead of one lump sum at the end of the quarter.
Regular quarterly dividend payments will resume with the 4th quarter dividend, which will be posted at the end of December as usual.
Please note that this temporary change will not affect deposit products that already pay dividends monthly.
More details and reminders are on the way. As always, we’re here to help if you have any questions.
Thank you,
